Parent Information Event – LOWER ELEMENTARY

March 21st, 2017 6:15pm - 8:00pm

Topic: Fostering Critical Thinking Through Mathematics and Nature's Classroom Q & A

When children learn about math and geometry through the Montessori materials, they don't just memorize formulas. They also learn how to solve problems, draw inferences, and think critically about numerical and spatial relationships. We will explore how the math and geometry materials foster the development of creative thinking skills and how you can reinforce these skills at home. We will be sure to provide parents with a chance to work with the materials as well!

We will conclude the evening with a question and answer session about the Nature's Classroom field trip for the parents of first-time campers.

Location: Adams Montessori School
